Diamonds Leisure Beach's turtle nest relocation site
At Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort, we are proud to partner with Diani Turtle Watch, an acclaimed initiative dedicated to the protection and conservation of endangered sea turtles along the Diani coastline. As part of this collaboration, the resort has established multiple accredited turtle hatchery stations on its beachfront, where turtle nests are safely relocated and monitored to ensure optimal hatching conditions. These protected sites provide a secure environment for turtle eggs, allowing hatchlings to emerge naturally between 55 and 75 days after relocation.
This successful partnership was nationally recognised in the 2024 EcoWarrior Awards, where Diani Turtle Watch received a Certificate of Recognition for demonstrating leadership in the conservation of aquatic life. We are proud to contribute to this shared mission, helping to ensure a safe future for sea turtles while offering guests the chance to witness and support this remarkable journey of life by the sea.
