Ecotourism Kenya is a civil society organization that was founded in 1996 to promote ecotourism and sustainable tourism practices in Kenya. Founded with enormous industry support, the society was charged with the responsibility of providing the required support for the development of ecotourism and sustainable tourism in the country. This entails encouraging the adoption of best practices in the use of tourism resources, working with local communities and managing wastes and emissions.

Today, the society continues to pursue the vision of making Kenya’s tourism sustainable, in terms of concern for the environment and the welfare of local populations. As a membership organization, Ecotourism Kenya brings together individuals, community based organizations (CBOs) and corporate organizations in a forum where they can discuss the concept of ecotourism and use this knowledge to improve practices in their respective fields.

Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area of more than 30,000 hectares. It is a vital part of the Masai Mara ecosystem as it forms the north-western zone, bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve in the south of Kenya. Professional wildlife and tourism management ensures guests of a truly exclusive and private safari experience with a very low vehicle density.

The Masai Mara is famous for its unique concentration of wildlife, birds, rich vegetation and open savannah. It has been classified among the “Seven Wonders of the World” due to the extraordinary annual migration ( July - November) when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebras cross from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of greener pastures. Less famous, yet very impressive, is the Loita Hills migration, where thousands of local wildebeest come to the Mara North Conservancy (December to May).

Mara North Conservancy is a not-for-profit company established in January 2009. The conservancy is a partnership between eleven member camps and over 800 Maasai landowners. The aim is to create a best practice, world-class conservancy with long-term commitments to the environment, wildlife, and local communities. To form the conservancy Mara North leased land from individual Maasai landowners. This marks the first time that these Maasai landowners have received substantial and direct income from wildlife. Together, MNC and the Maasai community are implementing sound land management policies including, controlled grazing, holistic management practices, low volume and low impact tourism, and community land-use plans.

Spherique 印度洋艺术展在桑给巴尔展开

Lugano,2011年7月5日——展览会，艺术家来自桑给巴尔、坦桑尼亚、肯尼亚、乌干达、马尔代夫和斯里兰卡，于7月23日在拉吉玛戴尔钻石度假村（Diamonds La Gemma dell’Est Resort）对公众开幕。这场独一无二的展览会标志着Spherique印度洋艺术展(Spherique Indian Ocean Art Project)的开启，雄心勃勃的计划在2015年围绕印度洋及其他26国在马尔代夫首府马累（Malé）组织旅游博览会。

这个项目的灵感来自一个瑞士籍创办人Carlo Cipolini，他爱上了这片极富魅力的自然风景。作为一名当地文化的鉴定家，Carlo Cipolini作为开拓一个可以在这片广阔地域展现艺术家天赋并且创造一个新的象征着融合了不同想法，不同风格，不同概念和文化的艺术活动，因此而兴奋不已。Spherique 印度洋艺术项目针对于促进艺术表现，绘画创造，展现当地艺术家的独创性和精湛技艺。

此项目的目的在于从围绕印度洋地区提供给艺术家一个相互认识，交流思想和相互切磋的机会，同时也从一次重要的商业机会中获益。展会将会在这些国家中最美丽的城市举行，届时会吸引来自世界各地的游客驻足停留。

此项目计划安排了一个大型的展会来庆祝项目的运作，并有涉及到这些国家的政治届、文化届以及社交届的各个领域的人来参加。

桑给巴尔的展会为之后从1月开始向公众开放至2011年9月23日在马林迪，肯尼亚举办的展会加上了前言。

我们很荣幸宣布Planhotel酒店集团迎来了20周年纪念日，同时，马尔代夫Athuruga以及Thudufushi度假村正式官方宣布冠以钻石品牌(Diamond)。由马尔代夫共和国总统Mohamed Nasheed先生于2010年12月9日正式宣布开幕。

总统在总检察长Ahmed Ali Sawad博士、旅游艺术文化大使Mariyam Zulfa博士、MDP主席Maruya Ahmed Didi的陪同下抵达Athuruga岛，他们热情问候了Planhotel酒店集团总裁Sara Rosso小姐和董事们。

Nasheed总统先生正式为度假村的开幕典礼剪彩揭牌，之后他游览了岛上25间水屋和46间沙屋，他们不禁赞叹“真是太漂亮了！”“这里给我印象非常深刻，同时我也想祝贺设计出如此美妙构思的设计师” 他补充道。

盼望已久的马赛马拉探险酒店(Exploreans Mara Rianta Camp)于2011年5月重新开幕。

我们已将这个独一无二的山庄酒店做了一些升级，新增了20个令人惊叹的豪华帐篷。这一设计将会保留经典的狩猎氛围，而每位客人所关注的不同细节，以及控制对于自然环境的影响都被考虑在内。
